The position will involve aspects of both wet lab and bioinformatics studies to make a meaningful contribution towards our understanding of the pathophysiology of these diseases. Potential projects include single-cell sequencing and RNAseq analysis, the use of genetic screens to identify novel diabetes targets, and the study of transcript dynamics and localization in the liver. Requirements: MD and/or PhD; outstanding recommendations; and excellent publication record. The ideal candidate will have strong bioinformatics training, and some interest, if not experience, in wet lab work.
